Nail issues

I’m wondering if anyone else has a problem with their CH kitty digging into the carpet to keep balance so hard that a little bit of blood comes up under the nail. I’ve been treating it with anabiotic gel. I’m making an appointment with the vet, but I’m not sure the vet knows a lot about it, I thought maybe someone else here might have had some kind of experience with this. Thank you in advance.
