Cat trees are interesting and your cat will have a lot to do with it when you buy one. Now, there are a lot of people who do not like going for expensive cat toys which is alright.

In that case, you have to buy something or at least make something for your cat that helps your cat to move around. It should not be one of those sitting toys at all.

Let your Cat Go Out

This might sound scary to a lot of people and this idea is area specific. You will have to decide whether it is safe to let your cat go out or not. In many neighborhoods, it is no big deal to let your cat go out and play and in some other ones, it is a big thing. Make sure that there is no car or dog around if you are allowing your cat to go out.

The best idea however is to make sure that your cat is having a nice fence covered area to play. This is becoming more and more common among parents who can arrange something like that. For example, if you have a small space in front of your home then you can buy fence and cover that small space to create a play ground for your cat. If you really want to make it interesting and engaging, then you can add some trees and catnip toys here and there with a few balls and your cat’s favorite toys. Your cat will love the experience of being able to go out and have fun. At the same time, you do not have to worry about whether your cat is safe or not.

Get an Automated Cat Feeder

Automated cat feeders are recent inventions. The best idea about having one of them is that you do not have to worry about whether your cat is eating too much or not. Often what happens is you go out and you give your cat the whole day’s food in a bowl to eat throughout the day. This is a very common idea among cat parents but this is not a good solution.

At times, you will see that your cat will finish the bowl in the morning and starve throughout the day and in some other days, it will not even bother to eat. This creates a problem in the digestive system and that is how obesity starts. A cat feeder, however will make sure that your cat is getting the right amount of food the right time throughout the day.
